This is our first project in digital design course, we have to design sushi box as a group. So this is our first group work as well. We have to cooperate to do our final design. In our group, we discuss our ideas first, we decided the shape of box and type of box, and distribute the work for each of us. My work is design our sushi box logo, and send it to Florence, she will decide the position of logo in our sushi box. Finally, sent it to Ha and he will design our label.
We choose this box to be our final sushi box because on top of this box we decided to use plastic, our customer can see what inside of our box. we use black and white to design our box side, because we reference Chinese element Tai Ji, the black is ying, and the white is yang, they symmetry each other. We like the logo and label and our design.
We think the successful points in our box are we use the light colour to be our logo and label it is easy to catch consumer's eye, and we use black colour in our box, because the deluxe sushi restaurant always use black. It makes our sushi more authentic.
On the other hand, the bad points are we do not have accurate size in our sushi box when we design, I think we should consider this part according to how big about sushi box and how many sushi can we put it in our box, I should do some research about how many sushi for a consumer eat and design our size. In addition, I think we should not put two logo in same box. we have to decide one logo we want and unify our box style.
I think next time if we do some similar project, we should search some information about the size and unify our style of box.
